Patrick Lamb's Charlie Brown Christmas - A Benefit Concert for Bridge Meadows

Friday, December 4, 2026 · 7:30 PM

Mt. Hood Community College Theatre ·

26000 SE Stark Street, Gresham, Oregon

Hosted by Steve Dunn of KATU Featuring the Portland Symphonic Girlchoir Some music belongs to a season the way snow belongs to December. Vince Guaraldi's score for A Charlie Brown Christmas is that music — the shuffling piano of "Linus and Lucy," the hush of "Christmas Time Is Here," the tumbling joy of "Skating" — and for one night in Gresham, Billboard-charting, Grammynominated saxophonist Patrick Lamb brings all of it to life on stage.

An Oregon Music Hall of Fame inductee and Mt. Hood Community College alumnus, Patrick has spent a career carrying a tenor saxophone around the world — eighteen years touring with Gino Vannelli, and stages shared with Smokey Robinson, Bobby Caldwell, and Diane Schuur. On December 4 he comes home, with a full band of Portland's finest, to play the songs that turn a theatre into a living room and an audience into a family.

Joining Patrick on stage is the award-winning Portland Symphonic Girlchoir — twice winners of the Chorus America/ASCAP Award for Adventurous Programming, finalists in the 2026 American Prize Youth Choir Division, and a choir whose singers have stood on the stage of Carnegie Hall. Young voices lifting Guaraldi's melodies into the rafters are exactly what a Christmas evening should sound like, and exactly what a Bridge Meadows night should have. Guiding the evening is beloved KATU personality Steve Dunn, who brings his warmth and easy humor to the host's microphone.

Every dollar of ticket proceeds goes to Bridge Meadows. Bridge Meadows creates intergenerational communities where children find stability and belonging, parents find kinship and support, and elders find purpose, connection, and a place to age with dignity. At the center of it all is a simple but radical belief: that community itself is the intervention. For more than twenty years, across communities in North Portland, Beaverton, Redmond, and Tacoma, Bridge Meadows has proven that when three generations are brought together on purpose, everyone flourishes. Learn more at BridgeMeadows.org.

Come for the music you already know by heart. Stay for the reason it matters. Bring the whole family, and help make this a Christmas that changes lives.
